Electrician - Full Time Perm Position

The Role:

Join the team at Bega on the Sapphire Coast of NSW, where you’ll play a critical role in designing, installing and maintaining electrical systems that keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll work alongside other skilled trades, technicians and project specialists in a collaborative, safety-driven environment that values quality, innovation and technical excellence. 

Our Ridge street site in Bega NSW services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renowned Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger cheese slices.

Responsibilities 

• Comply with safety and quality requirements

• Performing routine visual and mechanical inspections of all electrical systems and components

• Accurately logging all maintenance activities and parts used within a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults on a wide range of production and packaging equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), motors, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and sensors

• Working closely with the mechanical maintenance team, production staff, and engineers to coordinate maintenance schedules, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology

• Strong commitment to safety, quality and reliability in a manufacturing environment 

• Skilled in problem-solving, fault-finding and contributing to reliability improvement initiatives 

• Reliable, punctual and confident using maintenance systems such as CMMS (MEX) 

• Experience in food manufacturing environment is highly desirable 

• Willing to work Fri-Mon – day shift
